Our Podiatrist

Matthew Scott

Podiatrist

Matt loves all aspects of podiatry which allows him to take a very holistic approach to optimising lower limb health. His favourite treatments involve removing corns and hard skin, ankle strengthening and using orthotics to help alleviate foot pain. Matt is highly skilled in orthotic customisation (due to several years manufacturing his innersoles by hand) which allows him to optimise the comfort and function of his orthotics for an optimal outcome.

Originally from Sydney, Matt developed his passion for podiatry in high school after the orthotics and exercise program designed by his local podiatrist resolving his running related shin pain. Knowing first hand the power of podiatry, Matt is dedicated to helping patients of all backgrounds overcome pain and get back to doing what they love—whether it's setting a running a marathon or simply enjoying a walk with dog.

Now based in Melbourne, Matt has embraced the local lifestyle and enjoys exploring coffee shops with his wife Diana, cycling, and staying connected to the running community. He still loves getting out for runs in the leafy eastern suburbs, using running as a way to connect with others and stay active.

Our Podiatrist

Jamie Allan

Senior Podiatrist

Clinically, Jamie enjoys all aspects of Podiatry with a special interest in managing lower limb biomechanics, ingrown toe-nails, sporting injuries, and assisting with footwear selection and fit – he believes you should be able to maintain certain style preferences while maintaining optimal foot health. Additionally, he has extensive knowledge in managing heel and big toe pain in individuals from athletic and non-athletic backgrounds.

He is currently undergoing a PhD through a joint scholarship with La Trobe (Australia) and Sheffield Hallam University (United Kingdom). His research aims to categorise specific foot types/shapes by capturing complex 3D models then applying sophisticated statistical analysis techniques. This will assist in developing a greater understanding of foot shape and assist in footwear design to accommodate the various foot shapes that exist around the world. While at La Trobe University, he also works as a casual academic where he teaches 3rd year students clinical biomechanics of the lower limb.

Outside of work, Jamie has a background in Australian Rules Football and now enjoys ultra-distance running in the off season.
